Ilse Kemp

Since I can remember I have always loved horses. As a child of 5 years old I learnt to ride and from age 11 to 16 I had my own pony called Candy. I was heartbroken when Candy was sold. I wanted to work with horses but my father encouraged me to go a different employment route. I didn’t know what else I wanted to do, so I tried different jobs until I found teaching and ski instructing, which I really enjoyed. 10 years later I returned to a life with horses. I rehomed an ex-race horse. 5 years later I realised my dream of working with horses when I established LS Equine Therapy. I feel my purpose in life is to help horses have improved wellbeing and comfort in their domesticated lives. I have enormous compassion for them and their service to mankind over the years of civilisation. My passion and calling is to help them with natural holistic modalities and to educate owners and handlers (who want to learn) how they can help their horses. I currently work with horses alongside employment as a first aid trainer. I find the 2 roles complement one another, but I would rather work more with horses and their owners/handlers teaching them how to help the horses with massage, EHS and acupressure.
