About the program

Within an interactive environment, students will enjoy a 4-day course covering The Bach Flower remedies and how they apply to their horse. We will discover the fundamental principles and practical application for Bach Flower treatment in relevant equine situations. Each student will learn how Bach Flower Essences are made and the implications for each Flower. The student will learn the history, background and invention of the Bach's and learn the nature of health and disease according to Dr Bach himself. Each Student will discover the 38 Bach Flower Remedies whilst paying particular attention to the 'essence' and the differences between them.

The effect of Bach Flower extracts in England was illustrated in the late 1920s and early 1930s by the famous British scholar and doctor Edward Bach (1886-1936). These extracts are the first of their kind for what is now known in energy medicine. Dr. Bach, a skilled doctor, bacteriologist, immunologist, and pathologist has turned to Homeopathy. Treating the symptoms is not enough to eliminate the disease once and for all- this is the approach which was followed by Dr. Bach.

Dr. Bach ideology was that the negative psychological state is the root cause of any disease. Dr. Bach not only treated the body disease but took into consideration that the body, mind, and soul represent one unit when treating the patient.

Dr. Bach immediately discharged from the for-profit medical profession and began his research into the new field that brought him back to the English countryside. His intuition led him that he would be able to find what he was looking for in the therapeutic characteristics from the flowers and trees of the fields.

One morning as he walked in a fruitful green land, his very intense intuition sense

inspired him that dew drops on plants after being heated by the sun convey the therapeutic characteristics of the flowers they carry. After progressing with his work, his intuition became extremely precise as simply carrying a flower or tasting the petal would made him aware of the therapeutic effects of that flower.

After moving forward in this journey step by step, Dr, Bach was able to find the extracts of thirty-eight different flowers, and explaining the effects of eating them, which is known today as Bach Flowers extracts. Dr. Bach was a man with a high spiritual sense. He documented the relationships between his philosophy of disease and his philosophy of life. Scientist Bach mentioned that “the disease of the body as we all know is only the result and final outcome of something much deeper, a person realizes that he/she suffers from a disease through the physical symptoms, but the reason behind this disease is closely related to the psychological state. It is the result of the conflict between our spiritual souls and our mortal bodies as long as they go at the same pace, then we enjoy perfect health, but when the dispute arises between them, therefore a disease occurred”.

We will look at the negative and positive aspects for each flower essence and consider how they apply to each horse as an individual. We will develop an understanding for Bach Flower combinations, looking at how, when and why they may be appropriate. At the end of the course, we will enjoy looking at equine cases and consider which is the most appropriate Bach Flower Remedy, dose and potency. By day 4 the student shall be confident with how and when to give the appropriate Bach Flower Remedy for their own horse.
